Izunaso was born on the 30th of October 1966, in Ohanku village in Oru-West Local Government Area of Imo State. His father’s name is Joseph Izunaso and Mothers name is Mary Izunaso both are still alive,
Izunaso attended Trinity High School Oguta, where he was a House Captain from 1979-1983; school of Basic Studies Makurdi, where he was the Public Relations Officer of the Literary Circle of the English Department, Internal Institute of Journalism Abuja, 1997-1988; University of Calabar 2000-2001.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Izunaso worked as a Reporter at Satellite Newspaper Enugu, 1990; Abuja Bureau Chief, Satellite Newpapers 1991; State House Correspondent, Satellite Newspaper, Presidential Villa, Abuja 1990-1992; Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker House of Representatives Abuja, 1992-1992; Chief Press Secretary to the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports 1995-1997; Head Media and Public Relations to the Honourable Minister of Labour and Productivity 1998-1999; Vhief Press Secretary to the Senate President Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999-2000; Executive Assistant to the Governor of Imo State on Policy and Strategy 2002-2002; Chairman/CEO Imo Broadcasting Corporation,
PHILANTROPHY
Senator Izunaso has always shown concern and love for the less privileged people in the society. It is this profound desire to assess and put smiles on the faces of these categories of members of our society that led him to establish the KPAKPANDO FOUNDATION for the physically challenged Persons in 2006, he has been the Chairman till date. This charity organization was established among other things, to cater for the needs of persons with disability across the Federation.13t has over 1000 persons with disabilities in its membership; it has over 3000 persons in its Tertairy and Secondary Scholarship; have trained and started business for over 700 persons with disability.

Izunaso’s special areas of interest include: Oil and Gas, Maritime, Transportation, Housing etc. His Hobbies are: Reading, Writing, Moluding of Public Opinion and Strategic Planning.
